That quote from a listener perfectly sums up Bob Lawrence’s Album Collection. As the name suggests, it is exactly that … Bob playing through his collection of albums.
The underlying philosophy is that it’s a show for people who sometimes enjoy something other than a three minute pop single. It’s fair to say that the bulk of Bob’s collection is from the late 60s and 70s but it does stretch further, including new albums, and covers a wide spectrum of genres.
